My initial designs are first drawn out on paper. At this stage, any idea of practicality were not considered yet, however I portrayed the general concept of the design on my sketches such as the structure and widgets that would form the overall piece.

I generated a few concept sketches before coming to a conclusion on my final design. With the important planning of practicality and capability of building a live model of it, I decided upon the initial "Sphere" idea on a stand.

The structure more or less looked like an armillary sphere or a globe that revolves around a point. This proves to be a rather challenging design to make. The main issue is the globe itself, whether or not I should use an existing ball or to make it from scratch.
